Even though I prefer to just ‘be’ when I am in nature. I sometimes bring my camera with me. This doesn’t happen a lot because filming usually brings me into my ‘mind’ as it is related to my other profession (video producer). When I ‘have to’ film I have to think about the shots I need, the sound recording and the questions I have to ask.
But sometimes, when the light is like magic and the weather is good I like to catch nature’s beauty. I call it catching as I don’t need to make a professional video so I can allow myself to wait for the right moment and light. I just have to be, breathe and observe.
Pretty often I then loose myself in the act of filming. I really forget everything around me and I just let my self lead by the sunlight and the landscape. This state of ‘mind’ or actually I would like to call it; this state of being is comparable with meditation. It is healing, relaxing and exciting at the same time. And the best part of it? When I get home I can edit the footage and enjoy my walk and the beauty of nature again.
